Centenary Shield & McNally Shield Competitions 2013
While the sun didn't shine there was no rain and winds of recent days were not there. 16 Members from far and wide turned out for a closely fought Competion. Organised as last year on a Divisional Basis was based on full h'cap Stableford.
The full field on the final green all smile left:-Stuart Musgrave Terry Bell (longest drive winner) & Paul Houghton. Right:- Eric Morley & Rod Andrews,who bravely rode a buggy. Eric qualified for a prize as he supported the field with 12 points off a H'cap of 28.
Above we Alex Bowen, John Gough, Barry Young, Drew Donaldson, Peter PassmoreMike Nicholass, and the 2 other buggiers Lew Easter & John Barber
Finally the "whipper in" Hugh O'Neill, Jim Algar and Simon Blackamore.
So the winners:- Division 1 Mike Nicholass playing off a H'cap of 11 with 33 points and Divison 2 Drew Donaldson playing off a
17 H'cap with 30 points.
Another good day with thanks recorded to the Committee of the RMS for their support. That's 11 years now. What of 2014?? Who knows.
