Another Sunny Day at Morley Heys Golf for the Shields with competitors from far and wide. Essex /Northumberland/Devon/Barton-on-Humber and with not so far to travel from Northampton/Sheffield/Notts/Derby. A field of 20 in two Divisions H'caps below 18 = 10 and above 18 = 10. playing Stableford on full H'cap in tees of 3 except for a 2 man Buggy. John Gough Division 2 winner of the Centenary Shield relaxes with his playing partners Alistair McCullough and Paul Houghton.. a pleasant round of less than 4 hours... following and being let through by a Ladies 4 ball!

John recieves the Centenary Shield from Paul having been the Divison 2 Winner playing off 18 and scoring a creditable 35 points. John was a previous winner in 2010.
Winner of Division 1 was Terry Bell playing off 15 again with 35 points. He also earned a bottle of wine as the longest drive on the 13th HOLE. His playing partners above being Jim Algar and Drew Donaldson. In the absence of anyone making the 18th Green in 3 shots (Par4 Index 2) ther prize went to Peter Passmore who was the 2nd longest drive on the 13th. Peter's playing partners below are Stuart Musgrave and Eric Bromley .

The rest of the field, who all enjoyed the sun Barry Young, Chris Colwell and Simon Blackamore. Smiling richly are the Buggy Boys Lew Easter and John Barber.
Opposite we have Mike Nicholass Hugh O'Neill (both previous winners) and Geoff Beecroft. Below Alex Bowen, Malcolm Nesbit and Ron Smith complete the field. Interestingly in both Divisons the winning score was 35 points and each Division had a low score of 11 points.

The concensus seemed to be it had been a good day with the sunshine ... in this glorious summer ... much appreciated.
The support from the RMS for those travelling from far and wide was also much appreciated.
